You want to take the stairs, but you can't walk as easily as you once did, but you're certainly not ready for a stair lift with a seat.

This is the target group that ThyssenKrupp Accessibility and Spark have developed the StairWalker for, a revolutionary product that gives people a helping hand in climbing the stairs. This ground-breaking concept offers excellent support and security while climbing stairs.

The product is intended for those people who are finding getting up and down stairs less easy than they used to. StairWalker allows the user to climb the stairs independently, keeping them fit and active. StairWalker is a daily clever exercise that contributes to the user's quality of life. If climbing the stairs becomes more of a challenge in the future, then the brace can be replaced with a chair. So, StairWalker is actually two products in one: StairWalker and a Levant chair lift.

Foldable stair aid
The ergonomic and fold-away design is well thought through and comprises two comfortable arm rests and a back support. These are attached to a robust drive that moves up and down a rail. The speed, height of the rests and the depth of the back support can be adjusted to the optimal setting for the user. At the top and bottom of the stairs the brace can simply be pushed aside so that you can walk out of it easily. This patented mechanism ensures that StairWalker takes up hardly any space when not in use. In addition, the user can see the stair treads easily as a result of the beautifully-finished LED lighting, which turns on as soon as the StairWalker is in motion.

Innovative, accessible and secure
ThyssenKrupp and Spark built the StairWalker from scratch and in doing so have established a totally new concept in stair aids. Spark has ensured that the design of the StairWalker fits with the relatively young target group. The stylish design ensures that StairWalker complements any interior.

Research has shown that the threshold for using the StairWalker is low. In addition, the stair aid gives older people a feeling of trust and safety when climbing the stairs. The StairWalker keeps people moving for longer and allows them to maintain their independence.

Flexible
The system takes into account the user's changing needs. The StairWalker is powered by a drive that was originally developed for the Levant straight stair lift. Consequently, at the moment it is necessary, the StairWalker support can be simply and cheaply replaced with a sturdy foldable Levant seat with footplate.
