The latest smart solution is Toon®, a revolutionary thermostat that provides customers with realtime data about their energy consumption and costs. This insight gives consumers, for the first time, a clear picture of their energy use. This makes it possible and easy to save.
Innovative design partner
A high quality and appropriate design is essential to the broad acceptance and market success of this innovative product. Eneco enlisted Spark's expertise to achieve this. Together, in a short time, they produced the collaborative design that has become Eneco's showpiece.
Brand identity as starting point
Toon is Eneco's first physical product; an extra opportunity to make Eneco's identity clearly visible. To maximize this, Spark initiated a number of intensive sessions with Eneco marketing staff in order to analyse the brand values and translate them into key concepts, images and design specifications. This approach meant that the designers at Spark were able to develop, efficiently and quickly, a look and feel for the thermostat that harmonizes perfectly with the ambitions and identity of Eneco.
Appropriate design
The design is accessible, appeals to a broad target group and fits into every home. The attractive, clearly defined and timeless design invites use. In addition to the display, a number of functional products have been developed, such as smart sensors, which provide gas and electricity meter readings. Spark has transformed these products into a bright, clear and user-friendly set of products that are simple to install.
Intensive collaboration
The design has been delivered within the constraints of the technical design. To achieve this, Spark designers worked intensively with Eneco partners Quby (software and user interface) and Prodrive (engineering and production).
