Earlier this year, the EasyScan was scouted by the DDA jury and chosen as a finalist for the best professional product. Spark has made sure that the power, quality and precision of the EasyScan are reflected in the design. The selection committee said: ‘Strength, quality and precision are reflected in the design. In addition, the elegant design creates a patient-friendly and less threatening feeling’.

This year, the DDA ceremony took place during the Dutch Design Week, at the Klokgebouw on Strijp S, Eindhoven. The concept behind the prize-giving has been given a redesign. Alongside the announcement of the winners, the afternoon included a number of other inspiring segments. A select number of (inter)nationally renowned speakers were invited to give their vision of the role design plays in the present time in relation to social, cultural and economic developments. In addition, there was a visual presentation about the design of the future, based on the Future Concepts exhibition.
