Revolutionary stair aid: StairWalker

November 15, 2011

ThyssenKrupp presented a revolutionary stair aid - the StairWalker - at the recent Rehacare trade fair in Düsseldorf. The ‘helping hand' has been designed, together with Spark, for people who can no longer get up stairs so easily, but are still a long way off needing a stair lift with a seat. The foldable support is attached to an incredibly strong drive that moves slowly up and down a track.

The Levant Outdoor, a new type of stair lift suitable for outdoor installation, was another star of the trade fair. The stair lift is built to resist almost every type of weather, such as hail, snow, temperatures as low as -10°C and humidity of 20 to 100 per cent. A new outdoor version of the Levant was installed for the first time this summer in Schiedam.
