Most of our product designs integrate electronics in one way or another, ranging from traditional PCB’s to mechatronics, IOT and robotics. Our projects are often a complex integration of technologies with success depending on smart choices and compromises between the different disciplines. With a strong foundation in industrial design, we are looking to strengthen our work even further with advanced electronics expertise.


We have an extensive network of electronics specialists and co-developers to tap into and a well-equipped electronics lab to work with. A solid foundation ready for further growth through your contribution!

What is your role?


In your role you will support the design effort on three main subjects.

1. Use your expertise to improve our electronics development in the day-to-day product development.

  • Support the integral design puzzle with a clear vision on the bigger picture, up-to-date information, sourcing of critical parts and smart conceptual choices.
  • Design principle solutions for critical functionality from purchase and custom parts and software that can later be implemented by external partners for series production.
  • Pragmatic implementation of electronics, sensors, actuators and UI in test models and prototypes using e.g. ESP and Arduino.
  • Design simple PCB’s in-house and source small series.
  • Create clear presentations and documentation of specifications and functionality.

2. Support and manage cooperation with external experts, co-developers and suppliers.

  • Briefing and managing of external partners together with the project lead.
  • Managing progress and quality of electronics support from external partners together with the project lead.
  • Be the technical link between the design team and external partners. Support smart choices where uncertainty or conflicts arise.
  • Expand the electronics network for Spark.

3. Identify and act upon opportunities to further develop this domain within Spark.

  • Create a vision on future expansion of electronics domain within Spark.
  • Help optimizing the integration of electronics development in the design processes.
  • Select and coach electronics interns or juniors.
  • Make sure the electronics lab fits the needs of our developments.

Is this you?

You have considerable experience in electronics and development:

  • 10 years of experience as an electronics hardware engineer, developer,
  • Ample experience with electronical development of robotics, motor control, electromechanical systems, safety circuits and sensor processing.
  • Experience with practical applications of the latest wireless technologies.
  • At least average knowledge of analog electronics.
  • Not afraid of some C/C++/Python and other coding of firmware.
  • Experienced in building electronics prototypes and systems for demonstration purposes in a hands-on quick and effective way.
  • Familiar with regulatory aspects, relevant directives and standards (CE/UL) and certification processes.
