Marketing and Communications Intern

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for design, innovation, and impactful content?

We are looking for a marketing and communications intern to strengthen our marketing team.

‍

In this role, you will support a wide range of projects—from writing copy and creating visual content to developing videos. You will have the freedom to bring your own ideas to life and make a truly visible impact.

A key part of your assignment will be developing and implementing an Instagram strategy. There is still a lot of potential in our channel strategy, and we are curious to hear your vision on how we can inspire, grow, and activate our community.

Who are you?

You are studying marketing, communications, media, or a related field.
You write fluently and creatively, in both Dutch and English.
You have an affinity with design, innovation, and storytelling.
Experience with photography, video, or social media management is a plus.
You take initiative, work in a structured way, and enjoy collaborating in a creative environment.

What will you do?

Research the needs and expectations of our customers regarding our online communication.
Create content for our website, newsletter, and social channels, always considering which content best fits the needs of our target audiences.
Set up and execute an Instagram strategy.
Photograph, film, and edit projects and behind-the-scenes moments.
Support campaigns and events.
Think along about new ways to strengthen our brand.

About Spark

We’re passionate about developing innovative products together with our clients with focus on the end user and the world around us. We do this at a high level of design and professionalism with a multidisciplinary team of industrial designers at our studio in Rotterdam. We’re open, direct, curious and love to challenge each other.

We are an authority in integral design of complex products where we continuously need to balance multidisciplinary challenges like technology, manufacturability, cost, compliance, look-and-feel and usability. We are proud that so many of our designs have made it to the market to make an actual difference!
