Building a circular European fashion industry

As a joint venture, we're developing an AI-powered robotic system that automates the resale of clothing returns and second-hand clothing. The challenge isn't just recognizing the type and condition of the garment. It's creating a handling process that is fast, reliable and requires as little manual labour as possible. Because only then resale becomes scalable and profitable.

Over the past months, we've run multiple innovation sprints to get to a demonstrated solution that is ready for future development. Rapid cycles of prototyping, testing and validating helped us explore different mechanical concepts for automatically hanging and photographing clothing in a warehouse setting. Those images allow AI to assess the condition and value of each item, bringing us closer to a circular fashion industry.
