On 21 en 22 September Spark will be at Ecomobiel 2010, the event for green mobility. Companies that are leading the way in the development of technology and innovations in the area of sustainable mobility will present an overview of their activities and products at the event.
As a design bureau with plenty of expertise in the area of sustainable mobility, it makes perfect sense for Spark to attend this event. Spark has been at the birth of diverse green mobility systems; such as the Solamaran - the catamaran powered by solar cells, the Carver and the popular cargo bike (bakfiets) Big Babboe.
Innovative bike shelter
Spark will present, among other things, the new product for Lock ‘n Go at Ecomobiel 2010. This innovative bike shelter has an integrated lock that anchors the bicycle frame. By using the saddle to push the bicycle into the lock, two jaws close around the frame and the bicycle is locked in. Each Lock ‘n Go unit is fixed to the ground and has two claw locks; one on the left and one on the right.
Adjacent to the Spark stand, our client Bcycle Solutions will launch the SecuBike, developed by Spark; a robust bicycle locker that provides on the doorstep security and shelter for up to five bicycles. SecuBike anticipates the large demand from both local councils and companies for a smart parking system for bicycles. A secure and dry shelter encourages bicycle use and fits in with the cycling policy strategies of local councils, the need for more physical exercise and the efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
Ecomobiel 2010 opens its doors on 21 September in the Van Nelle Design Factory in Rotterdam. You can find Spark there at stand number 27. We will be sharing our stand with our development partner Login, which will launch an outstanding energy saving solution for parking sign lighting at Ecomobiel 2010.
