Co-developed: Holmatro 5000-series
Being a committed partner: it sounds great, of course, but what does it mean at Spark? We have a striking example. The development of the Holmatro 5000-series really shows how in-depth, long-term cooperation can ensure that, together, you (keep) excelling.
Staying ahead
When the fire service cuts someone free from a car, the chances are that it’s a Holmatro cutter that’s going through the steel. Since the beginning of this century, Spark has been a strategic partner for the design of specialist products. The joint goal: to stay ahead in this increasingly crowded market.
Brainstorming together
Last year, Spark and Holmatro put their heads together about the future. Diederik Augustijn: “We brainstormed with the whole company about how we can make products even smarter, stronger and more effective. We also looked at a suitable design. This resulted in three pillars: quality, success and innovation.”
More than ‘making it beautiful’
During the development of the products, Holmatro focused mainly on the technical aspects. Augustijn: “As designers, we translated all the input into designs for the future.” This is more than just ‘making it beautiful’. Anke Kempen: “The design has to be a useable, solid basis for Holmatro’s future applications.”
Layered approach
The result of this intensive cooperation is a very well received 5000-series. Kempen: “At the start of the development process you have to think together about how you want the product to look and then, using a layered approach, work towards a new end product: it works.”
