A harmonious balance between aesthetics and technology
Together with Auping, we have developed the design for the new Royal, which is the flagship product of the renowned Dutch bed manufacturer. Auping is known for its commitment to durability, style, and meticulous attention to detail.
We designed the whole bed, including the frame, legs, headboard, nightstand and bedside lamp.

Soft shapes in steel
The Royal showcases impressive technical features, such as 10 motors and clever hinge systems. Despite its advanced technology, we aimed for a design that didn't appear overly technical. Throughout the design process, we explored shapes and materials that would meet these criteria. The steel profiles have a subtle and rounded appearance, while the legs can incorporate soft textiles, leather, or wooden elements. As a result, the design highlights the sense of security one seeks in a bed.
Accessories
We paid special attention to the accessories. For instance, the curved wooden nightstand features a floating open construction. The bedside lamp also boasts a unique and modern design. Furthermore, the headboard incorporates the softness of textile or leather.
During the engineering phase, we worked closely with Auping to ensure a harmonious balance between aesthetics and technology.
