Ozonated auto-hemotherapy

Making autohemotherapy secure and safe

The Ozone is a medical device that provides a treatment in which ozone gas is added to the blood. The design of the new Ozone device eliminates hazards and makes autohemotherapy secure and safe.

Ozonated autohemotherapy is a new, yet promising medical treatment. There are many fields in which medical ozone could be of value, so far one of the main areas of application are pain treatment and ablation for lumbar protrusion.

Clinical process

During ozone autohemotherapy, the patient's own blood is mixed with ozone outside the body. The application of ozone autohemotherapy is being investigated in palliative care and pain management for patients with cancer at an advanced stage, among other things, and the results are encouraging. This medical device automates the treatment so it can be performed more safely and consistently, enabling further research into this therapy.

The automated ozone autohematherapy device is now in preparation for clinical trials.

Design

Because the treatment is for a very vulnerable patient group, we wanted to contribute to a low-stress environment with the design of the device. The soft and human design provides a friendly character and the patient side of the housing is designed to exude calmness and not unnecessarily burden the patient.

The patient is always orientated towards the side of the machine. The sides are kept clean of features and tubes that might disturb or frighten. Instead, the soft, strong lines express calmness.
